In last September I started to working in my new art journal, actually it was the first in my life…I know it was late to start the first one, but better late then never. I manage to work in it every day more than 10 days… OK, not enough, but I was having fun, really fun and it was nice new habit. Should I say it was nice new habit if I will stick to it. What happened? Life itself and new projects on my new brand TutorialGirl and the lack of time.
But this new experience was strong, some how it bring in my life a lot of fresh air and I feel some how more free then usually. It was great and it came to me with a lot of positive energy and positive mind. Maybe it is like if I did start joga class or meditation…
I know it is hilarious to start this again at this point of my life, because let face it, my life is a little bit confused and I won’t have time to play with colors and all that stuff because of new baby and two year kid….you know the story, but it could be some fresh change of 30 minutes or more on every day if I could play with art supply’s and papers and fabric and everything that is not kids stuff. So if I want to do this properly and I don’t want to finish this before I start it I need to join people with similarly interests and I did. I join The Art Journal January 2011 group at Milliande Art Videos. It will be fun, and I hope I will participate regularly and that I will manage to take time to do this on daily bases. But if not, nothing bad will happened, and I will have a chance to see what other people will doing and this will be great too. Come and join us, as Milliande say.
So what should I do for the first day? I know I need to make a little room on my desk, because the clutter is too big now. The most important task, clean the desk!
This is my Zebra…ok, the page is not nice or good or anything, but I take time for myself and make a page. Good or bad, no matter, but I did enjoy in it and that is enough.

If you think how to write for the blog it is easy for me, because I don’t speak English so well I need to shout with my writing just the basic think I did want to tell somebody who maybe is interested in similar thing. So I need to be short and I don’t know; the story just goes out. Usually I have a topic I want to share and then I just tell that and at the end there I need to go in to a Word for some spelling corrections, because my writing is even worse then what I think in my head). So there are a lot of mistakes, but hey I’m not perfect.
For writing in art journal, it is just a speech with you without thinking. You just have one thing in your mind and you write that down and then something else comes. Maybe the important is that your hand just needs to have a flow without any corrections. I never read my art journal pages, and if I will there are just a short moment of my life there….just talk with myself.
PS I actually like other journal pages when people have just one word there or just one sentence, but I don’t now how to do this the same. So on my pages have a lot of writing. Hey it is fun and that is the whole point. To have fun with it. Sometimes it is nice to look back to see what you did make. It always look impossible…you know; you did yourself a permition to enjoy and to have time just for you.
