New illustrations for new month; did I learn some new thinks? Yes, and no, both at the same time. It is true, if I want to learn from it, it mean I need to work more, much more than I did. And last month I was busy with finishing and design new sewing patterns and also with a few wishes that I have for my kids. So yes all the days were too short as always, but I did finish a few for me important thinks, so it is ok. I’m almost ready for new beginning, for new baby, and for New Year….

I hope, I will have enough time to do the art journaling more often, and to playing with paints and sewing, maybe even with a design. Hope you like my new screen for the January and hope you all will have lovely month.

Something about this picture? I love to art journal with others and I start journaling with a Milliande art journaling group and we play this month with zebra theme. So I did this girl in that spirit, but maybe it is not zebra enough, so maybe I will play with the next picture more with the theme. But still I like a few pieces from it and it isn’t the worst thing that I ever made. Jep, I need to play more, and to draw, paint and collage more. It is like pushing a wheal, little by little and you are there. I’m at the beginning but it is ok too.

I didn’t write about it, but in my head is cooking something new: after I make the Hanging Cradle project and the machine freehand stitching of the poem in it, I can’t think about mixed media otherwise then in this direction. I need to start playing with papers, fabric, paints and stitching. I need this and I need to explore in this combination a lot. It sounds so promising for me, that I can’t stop thinking about it.
