I want to share something new that I try to do it, at home with two kids next to me. OK, one of them was in my sling and other stand next to me and look closer what her crazy mom was doing with a fabric and plastic bucket. This was my firs jar dyeing and jep, as always I did everything wrong, with the motto don’t buy anything, just use the stuff that you could found at home, no matter how old, or proper they are.

I think it was fun and I will do it at least one more time. But for the second time I will go to the store and buy the powder fabric dye that will be in a nicer pallet (I just grab the 10 or more old dyes form don’t remember which do it at home project). Of course they ware from different manufactures…

I should found a glass jar, not just a plastic bucket, and the biggest mistake I made was probably that I didn’t warm the water enough, and one more mistake that I made, maybe I should use more fabric dye.

About something I’m not sure. This was my first attempt to dye the fabric in a bucket and I want to get a different colors in one bathtub but I didn’t know should I use powder dyes and sprinkled them on a wet fabric while I put the fabric in a bucket and then watered with hot water (hotter then I did) … (I did it like that); Or should I prepare powder dyes in a separate jars ….

… a lot off mistakes, and not really nice fabric at the end (I need to think about colors more for the next time)…but I think I will use this fabric for some T-shirt and I will combine this fabric with a strong one tone fabric, don’t know jet in witch color.

At this time, I wish I could ask somebody for the advice. But for the next time, I need to found better colors…

PS, don’t do this without the rubber gloves. I was thinking I don’t need them, I will touch just the color bags, but at the end my hands was somehow in brown color.
