This title is somehow an illusion, but this is my nice illusion. I try to draw and paint, but not as much as I want, but in one weak I do this at least one time and it is not so bad. I enjoy every moment of it, but sometimes I need a little push.

My “push over” are SWAP card…small cards on different topic and I swap them with different people every time. Ok, I’m not long in this, but it is so nice think to do. The most important is that my push work for me, because all swaps have a deadline and if I promised myself I will do it, then I do it, and this is all that is important. Just small “do it” and it is enough.

I’m not an expert in illustration, and not in mixed medial either, I just go with the flow and I learn with some small steps at the road. I really love children’s illustrations and now that I did read a lot also about mixed media, I combine this two.

Jep, I need a lot more practice. Some day I know the illustrations will be “just the right”, but before I reach this goal, I will enjoy in the process and I will learn with each piece that I start. All this is totally enough, and at the end I will like my illustrations and my kids will like them. I dream that both my kids will have my illustrations on there rooms some day soon.

My latest swap cards somewhere on to the road to Australia, jep, my cards could go where I can’t and I’m jealous about this part of swapping. I didn’t have time to make a collage for the base from different papers but (and with small pieces it is not simple to do), I did use different materials (acrylic, Neocolor II, graphite pencil, Pitt artist pen, … and for the end I did play with my sewing machine. I like this part so much, and it is not the finished result that is important, but the process.

The big important thing that I almost forgot to tell you, when you will start doing this, you will start reading a lot of “artistic blogs”, and in a short time you will be hocked. The best part about this is, that you could play and learn together with others and if you will stick too this new hobby it is possible to meet people who will want to put there knowledge in front of you. I mean there are really nice people who like to share there knowledge and all you need to do is to be open and learn. Fantastic. This august is one of the months that I will join one of the group, cant wait, and just hope I will manage to found enough time to do and to learn new things.
