Do you like the term Mixed Media? I do. And I didn’t do much with it… actually I was always just wonder what is this? What this mean, and most important, how it is made. Or I skip all the questions and just stay open mouth and love the work. But this fancy word didn’t go away, so I try something to do with it. Because this is my Magazine, I could write or show what I want and this project is something that I really want to share with you.
The idea was to make a mail box for my kid, so we could play something new. I plan to sew the mail box and if I made “fabric” by myself it will be more unique than if I use a felt. So here come Mixed Media in handy, I need to admit, that I didn’t know how it will look like, but I just have a rough sketch in my head. Of course this project is so simple I didn’t need a sketch. Ha, ha (and I’m industrial designer).
I decided to show one picture from the middle of this process of my mixed media way, because if you are the same as me, then, maybe you wonder how it is done also. And the main reason is, I need to wait to dry before I could continuing with painting, and also because I like the thing how it is looking and ok, I admit, I can’t wait until tomorrow or maybe even day or two more.
So this is the picture of first part of this project and for me it looks promising, are you agree? Or if not, I’m still learn a lot, the most important is this: DO NOT glue with so much PVA glue and mix more water in it. Jap, I think I use to much glue.
And then I will tell you how it is done (tutorial with photos).
Because this experience is so good, good, good, I think I’m ready now to try myself in Collagraphy. I can’t wait to start. And I’m glad I will finally know what to do with an onion and potato bags. Jap, the right answer is use it for art. Good a?
