Girl’s dress sewing pattern

posted in: DIY, sewing, tutorial & pattern | 1

This is one of new sewing pattern that I made this autumn. It is a girl’s dress that I design for my girl. I made it from plush fabric and for the lining I use a jersey, so the dress is soft, comfy and warm.

The pattern is asymmetric with a shoulder ruffles. It could be wear as a dress or as a hoody sweater with a leggings or pants.
The project is easy enough even for the beginner sewer, and as always I made for this project also a photo tutorial with pdf. pattern. It is available in my Etsy, DaWanda and Bludor shop. So go for it.

But really I enjoy in doing this project and I remember myself how fun it is to sketch something on a paper and that you could make the same thing also in

real life in a form of a girls dress. Good feeling, really, I should do this more often, or if it will be possible even in a daily bases. Like a sewing project every week. The best part about this project is that it could be made also with a serger (overlock).

End of topic. I need to start preparing a nest for a new baby that will come in January and for that reason I’m totally crazy about a baby cloths and fabric accessories that I want to make and use for he or she (the gender will be surprise for all of use). So, I have at least two new projects in plan to finish in December.

One is a hanging crib that I absolutely adore and I didn’t have it for my first

baby, but I like the idea and it will be useful for us, because we live in a small apartment and I plan to have latter a bigger bed 140 x 70 cm, but for the first three or maybe even 5 months I think I don’t need to have it if we will use a hanging crib. The second project that I work on it is a baby swaddler. What should I say about this: I love the idea of swaddling and I didn’t use it with the first baby and I think we need a better slipping routine that we have or actually we didn’t have it with the first kid. For this swaddler I have a super easy pattern that I make, but for now I need to wait for the coming baby before I could show it, because I need to check proportions for it. But the sewing will be easy even for the beginner and also the swaddler usage will be super easy….actually now that I have a second child I really want for everything to be super easy.

This is a short preview of baby swaddler that I make and it is so easy to sew it that it is easy even for the beginner sewer.

PS, don’t look the fabric choice, because I use scraps and I didn’t have them enough, but the scrap closet is a little bit smaller, so it is ok.
