Now and improve Baby Swaddler pattern

I already mention the baby swaddler making on my Bludor Magazine and I make it before I did get a new baby. I use it a lot, but I soon realize that I don’t like a knot on it, because made in the same fabric then the rest of the swaddler it was to big, almost like a tennis ball. Everything else I like it. The fabric was cotton and so my baby didn’t sweat in it, and the temperature was always just the right one, fabulous.

I still love the idea of swaddling and one secret, I need to admit. At fist I didn’t have right nappies and at the night sometimes they are missed a little, but everything was ok, because the baby stays warm, and in the morning I just put the swaddler in the washing machine and all the bedding was ok.

The pattern is made in a TutorialGirl style easy, actually it is super easy, and girl, if you need to make a baby shower gift, this is the best idea. Easy and fast to sew, personal, because you pick the gorgeous fabric that you have at home and you really love it, just be prepared for all your girlfriends shower parties, because you will sew a lot. So here are some pictures of the new baby in her swaddler.

  1. This is a great design. I made some swaddlers when my daughter was smaller and loved them. I also love that padded mat – did you make that too? Thanks for linking to Craftastic Monday:)

    • Yes, this one is also my “must have sewing project”. It is really useful and we use it a lot. The green is almost vanished. But I plan to do another one, bigger and with different material, so it will be better for playing with Lego and similar. But this small one was great for caring it to the grandparents, and in to the park.
